Arai has released it’s new Quantum II helmet using technology derived from the top end RX-7 helmets used in MotoGP. Featurnig a more road based design with extra comfort, padding and being slightly heavier, Quantum series is geared towards the sports tourers with less noise as compared to the RX-7 GP series which debuted in late 2008.

Arai Quantum Range
The new design Quantum incorporates a wide vision visor aperture which provides a better visibility with more peripheral vision (up by 5mm on each side). The liner is fully removable and made of two tone Dry-Cool material which improves wicking and feels dry against skin by dispersing moisture. The liner comes in many sizes and foam densities providing a truly custom fit on the rider’s head just like the RX-7. Quantum II also features Arai’s emergency release cheek pads.
For ventilation, the helmet now features revised venting locations on the brow guiding fresh air to the temple and forehead area and a screwed in chin vent with a integrated filter. Outer shell has a triple layered construction with a Super Complex Laminate construction build, a stiffening Hard Ring at base and a choice of 5 helmet shells to choose a helmet with the perfect fit.
Arai Quantum II helmet is expected to retail at prices starting at approximately Rs 28,000 internationally and will be available in white or black along with a wide range new designs penned by Arai’s designer, Aldo Drudi including one (DNA Black) with his thumb print on it’s sides.
