K&N Filter for 2009 Yamaha R1

K&N has released a replacement air filter for the 2009 Yamaha R1. The K&N air filter is washable and reusable and designed to increase horsepower and acceleration while providing excellent filtration. Forty years of research and development has made K&N the leader in air filtration technology.

The filter for R1 fits directly into the airbox and requires not cutting or alterations. A deep pliable application specific sealing bead ensures an air tight fit inside the air box. Filter for 2009 R1, YA-1009 is preoiled and ready to ride out with and comes with K&N’s famed Million Mile Warranty.
About K&N Filters : K&N air filters are made with layers of cotton gauze sandwiched between two epoxy-coated aluminum wire screens. The cotton is treated with a specially formulated grade of oil. This causes tackiness throughout the cotton’s microscopic strands. The nature of the cotton allows air flow and when combined with the tackiness of our oil, it creates a powerful filtering media for outstanding engine protection.
